Nissan 98'
200sx se

I have a nissan I picked up from a friend who was in an accident in it I know the driver side airbag was deployed. They also cleared the airbag light from it.
I bought a new airbag to replace into it but before I have it put in I want to know if I need to replace the impact sensors as well? Or any other steps that must be done to insure the airbag dosen't deploy again?
I'm not sure what they did to remove the airbag light.

Every system works differently. On the newer cars most everything has to be replaced, including the Control Module but that probably doesn't apply to one as old as yours.

You're going to have to simply take it one step at a time. Replace the bag, clear the codes and see what codes still set. That will tell you is the system is functional or not.
