Wasn't aware they made those cars without power windows! So be it. Find broken parts for whatever exactly broke and see if you can create something or hunt down used/salvage vehicles. Just maybe the part(s) you need are in another model of something?

Sedan or Coupe?

Can you take a picture of it?

If the sash channel that is glued to the window is broke, you have to get a new channel from the dealer and then glue it on with a special urethane adhesive. As Tom mentioned sometimes it is easier to get the window from the salvage yards. Here is a TSB on it:

TECHNICAL

Bulletin No.: 01-08-64-012F

Date: September 22, 2008

Subject:
Door Glass Sash Out of Run Channel (Repair Door Glass Sash Channel)

Models:
1999-2004 Oldsmobile Alero
1999-2005 Pontiac Grand Am

Supercede:

This bulletin is being revised to update the applicator P/N in the Parts Information section. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 01-08-64-012E (Section 08 - Body & Accessories).

Condition

Some customers may comment that the door glass is out of the channel.

Cause

The door glass sash channel may have come off the glass or the sash channel clip may be damaged.

Correction

Caution:
When working with any type of glass, use approved safety glasses and gloves to reduce the chance of personal injury.

Important:
If the clip location is unknown, install the glass in the full up position and attach the new clip to the regulator and power the regulator to the full up position. This will set the clip in the proper position so you can mark its location.

Replace the sash channel following the repairs listed below.

Sash Channel Came Off Glass; Adhesive on Glass

1. Remove the door glass and lay it on a protected table.

2. Mark the location of the clip with tape.

3. Remove the adhesive with a one edge razor blade.

4. Clean the glass with Isopropyl alcohol.

Important:
Install adhesive into the applicator and squeeze some adhesive out before you install the mixing tube. After the mixing tube is installed, run a test bead the length of the mixing tube to ensure a good mix.

5. Fill the sash channel clip with adhesive.

6. Install the clip in the marked location.

7. Reinstall the door glass and put the glass in the full up position for 24 hours.

Sash Channel Damaged

1. Mark the edge of the clip for location.

2. Cut off the bottom edge of the guide with a cut off wheel. (Refer to the illustration above.)

3. Using a thin flat blade putty knife and a hammer, carefully remove the plastic piece on each side of the glass. (Refer to the illustration above).

4. Clean any adhesive from the glass using a one-edge razor blade. (Refer to the illustration above).

5. Clean the glass with Isopropyl alcohol.

Important:
Install adhesive into the applicator and squeeze some adhesive out before you install the mixing tube. After the mixing tube is installed, run a test bead the length of the mixing tube to ensure a good mix.

6. Fill the sash channel clip with adhesive.

7. Install the clip in the marked location.

8. Reinstall the door glass and put the glass in the full up position for 24 hours.
