Hi everyone, I’m new here and I figured I would reach out to forums for tips. I have recently order a body kit for my car and the bumpers and side skirts are warped badly. I can not get the front bumper to sit flush with the fender or my headlights. Is there a way to fix this myself? I really want to avoid going to a body shop because I already have expensive repairs I have to do as this is my daily driver. Thanks I’m advance!

! "Fiberglass?" What is this car? Can you show pictures of the damage as per your description it's not really DIY work. If metal parts are bent just how would you deal with that so plastic or other items all fit? I'm not a specialist in "auto body" but always worked with them is it's own trade involved space, equipment and a place to do paint take a lot of space up that can't really be used for other work easily. Try pics will help us help you better or best take it to an Auto Body shop and get some ideas or find out YOU just don't have the tools nor place to do this - IDK accident damage is always unique, T

Tom, he is adding aftermarket extensions made of fiberglass. This is not a DIY job. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

This part threw me off ">and the bumpers and side skirts are warped badly.<" I took that, that the car/thing already had damage. Subject say "repair kit" wasn't thinking of some alteration IDK of. It's still not very DIY? If just something whimsical and $$ is short adding cosmetic features to otherwise a vehicle that's OK to use doesn't seem like a good idea till the $$ is plentiful for fun stuff, Tom

It's a ground effects kit. Some cars have this stuff factory installed and then some people try to turn their car into one of those.

OK, had to Google what they are and look like. Found this for MA and other places + states: Legal or not that low wouldn't last 5 minutes anywhere around me. OE new isn't selling them did find some. Unusable if legal the roads are NOT good enough for that low of clearance. This stuff on vehicles that are allowed here is all over the roads like trash if fresh have to steer around all that junk till it ends up on the sides of roads. Maine (of all states near me) surprised at probably has the most REAL and legal dirt roads of all lower 48 states! Have fun if you wish it just wouldn't work no matter what you did for long, Tom >Ground effects lighting is illegal in the state of Michigan, Massachusetts and Maine. In California, underglow lights are allowed to be used in places other than public roads and there could be a penalty if found using them in public roads. <

Nobody here is talking about lighting. These are addon panels that change the aerodynamics of the car.

I just copied part of the deal about this "Images then looked up legality of same It was about low body parts with images. Too low is why I never see them anywhere as said zero roads would be good enough anyway. In fact MA doesn't allow any alterations to an OE vehicle except maybe stripes, wheels + tires if the same as suggested by maker. Some exceptions for over 25 model years to bring something here legal somewhere else even total other countries that don't abut the US at all, Tom

This is one pic I found also...… I said if legal or not no roads would be good enough. If a car is for shows only, fun it's all fine just not on public roads. Don't forget Hammer (you've been here) roads heave when frozen like a joke of speed bumps when thawed (coming soon now) will settle down but cracks filled so chunks don't fly out even highways, Tom
