Car details:
2016
Honda
HR-V
What happened, pulling out of parking spot, scraped on a wood post on that was painted white. Not the best day.
Seeing who has maybe gone through the same thing or is knowledge able shops might take different approaches and is there is one that might be more successful.
Was not dented but deep, long scratches on both the passenger side front and back doors, both near bottom and mid level of the doors. (bad pics attached)
The paint code is NH797M Modern Steel (AHA 1008)
Problem is this is friends car (oops..) so I want to make it right.
I tried to first clean everything and then use a Dupli-Color pen. But there too many scratches, and are to deep, wide, and long. Also I of course have no skills in auto body repair.
I did some research and I am just a little concerned as since the paint is like a flat color say white or black, but has a little texture, will local shops get it right? They will get it mixed correctly (yes I am not like the first person to have this happen, but just wanted to know if there are any possible problems with this)
Will they treat the scratches, do like a base coat, clear coat, and then paint, or just repaint the whole door?
Also how do I pick a place that will do a good job?

That's why they call this an accident. IDK this isn't a specialty but know enough I hope. It's going to look like nothing happened with the right auto body repair shop so have to suggest a look in person by one of your choice. It might (can't know) run into insurance with or without a penalty to you - can't know that either.
Wrinkled area is a type or way to make areas subject to normal road dirt abuse or other reasons. If paint of the car's body you aren't going to fix that with a pen thing - OMG they've sold those for ages on end.
You can check if it's on metal or a plastic now with a magnet. That would bother me if metal there you should want it really fixed or it could creep and be worse over not all that long of a time.
Seek in person inspection for exact paint and what the procedure would be specific to the exact car I can't guess that from the best of pictures,

Anything you may attempt to do yourself can only make it worse.
There is only one way to repair deep scratches and that is to sand it down to the base, do any necessary repairs and then refinish it professionally with quality paint an clear coat.
This stuff is not cheap and can only be done by an experienced professional with paint mixers and a spray booth.
Now, if all you have is paint transferred onto your car you can wash that off with a rag soaked in lacquer thinner. It will not harm the factory paint.
