I need help with hubcaps Sign In

Hi I bought pop on hubcaps and I attached the retention rings but the hub caps aren’t staying on the car. Other two are staying on and I’ve noticed that me retention ring is cracked or something and that there’s a red plastic piece holding it together? Does anyone know what I’m talking about? I’m trying to find whatever that plastic piece is called so I can attach it to my retention ring so I can pop on my hub caps. I’ve tried looking for retention rings (snap on steel ones) and I can’t find any without the crack? I’m honestly confused please help. Does anyone know what this red plastic piece could be called that holds the steel retention ring together ?

No, we don't email anyone and I'm deleting you address before the spammers get their hands on it.

I can't do much for you unless you can post a photo.

Moonwillow: Pics could be hard if you tried? Are these cheap, generic aftermarket ones or what the wheel of this thing was made for?
AYOR with aftermarket IMO buy at a place so test pulling one off by hand perhaps. If you can take them back right away. A handful of OE vehicles had problems out of the gate new even now confusion somewhere about such and basic idea,
