98 Cavalier no fluid to back brakes

Ok I'm working on a 98 cavalier. 2.2L Auto. The lady drove it for some time with no fluid in the Master due to a back broken brake line. I put fluid in to see where it was leaking. I replaced that line. Left rear line from the rubber hose to the wheel cylinder. Still had fluid coming through but I could not get a good pedal...so i assumed she ruined a seal in the Master from running it dry so long. Replaced that, followed the instructions to a "T". The back brakes won't bleed now. I can't get any fluid to the back wheels. The front brakes work fine. I bench bled the master, once on the car I bled it through the 2 bleeder screws on the ABS unit. Oh and both the brake and ABS lights are on. I've replaced probably 10-20 masters with ABS and have never seen this. The instructions that came with the master said DO NOT MOVE THE GEARS on the ABS motors, so I didn't. On one forum it says you must turn the gears clockwise until they stop..I didn't do this, I followed the manufacturers instructions. Somebody else said reset the computer with a scantool..I did this to no avail. Another site said you need to cycle the ABS with a scantool, i don't have that option. I have a regular OBDII scanner. The list goes on and on. Sorry for the long post..I provided as much as I can I think of. Thank you for your replies. Oh, one more thing, It has a firm pedal, what you would expect from properly bled brakes. I know there is all air in the line i replaced so the pedal should not be firm. Thanks again :)

What does your scanner pull up from the abs system? Also what is the body vin for that? That one might require crossbleeding, also abs pumps can give you fits if you cant command them with your scanner. But if you arent getting any brake line pressure to the rear, it kinda sounds like a proportioning valve issue. ____________________________________________________ Willing to help, willing to learn... Unfortunately I don't think my scanner is capable of picking up ABS codes. The only code I had was for the O2 sensor. I don't have the car here so I can't provide the vin offhand. I will try X-bleeding it when she comes back. Looking at how the master is configured that would make sense. Thanks I'll let you know how it goes!!
