ABS sensor, 2004 Grand Prix Sign In

The L/F ABS sensor on a 2004 Grand Prix has died, but I'm not at all interested in replacing the entire hub bearing - just the sensor.

Any way to do this and get around GM's profit trap? Mad

No, there isn't. The sensor is built into the hub bearing.

How did you determine the LF sensor is faulty?

To let you know, your 11 year old car is a prime candidate for needing a new bearing anyway. A lot of these throw a code when the bearing is barely starting to get play as the tone ring moving around screws up the sensor reading. As HT stated, it is all in one unit. Cough up the hundred bucks and get a new hub.You didn't think these things lasted forever did you?
