2013 F150 Rear brake noises Sign In

I have a 2013 F150 and just had new brake pads and rotors installed on my rear wheels. I also had a caliper replaced on my driver side. Once I left the shop there wasn’t much noise. Which I believe it’s normal for some sound. Now I have a loud grinding noise on my driver side. When ever my truck is leaning right or taking a right turn it’s very loud and louder at low speeds. I also heard a loud bang from this side yesterday.

I never had this issue until they were changed any thoughts on what this could be?

Sounds like the backing plate may have gotten slightly bent and is touching the rotor as it turns. If you can confirm this. pushing it away from the rotor slightly will resolve it.

! Agree and add: This should have a drum parking brake inside rotors that can be destroyed taking off old rotor. Hardware for a static brake is a LOT for this like this>

The "BANG" you heard could and likely is that unseen brake falling to bits.
It was just done/worked on right there, this has to be cleaned up ad adjusted as need be or all hell will happen as it's static not self cleaning.
Yes in removing it bending backing plate possible also but it needs this junk serviced while doing your back brakes.
See if it works (parking brake) at all and stops or just applies to the end of travel is a good clue it's all busted up,

A little more info this truck does need an alignment as the front tires have uneven wear. Would this affect anything as well?

Unless wheel look cross-eyed to the naked eye BRAKES aren't this issue. Do the alignment but not causing noise unless something else seriously wrong, worn badly,

PS: Tire wear is a clue for alignment. Truck may not pull and be way off. Do rotate tires often on trucks, suvs, FWD anything. Cross rotate (strong opinion) for tires that allow it say "directional" (with arrows) if not right on them....

Yea the alignment and new tires were first on the list but I didn’t realize the guy only replaced the front the year prior so I started with the rear brakes. So just to confirm the alignment isn’t the issue with the noise and it’s most likely the backing plate is bent?

Correct - alignment NOT the upfront issue.

If getting all new tires too, do those first and no wait next do alignment. Why - You get much more even results with tires all evenly worn - wouldn't be. Then also road test anything off but within adjustment can make it drive straight ahead and know steering wheel is centered perfectly too or fix that,
