My 2018 VW TRoc clutch has started to make a creaky noise, hoping it’s nothing too serious, any insight/advice welcome. It’s a 1.0l petrol, 98,000km. I have a video to share with the noise but not sure how to attach it here.

It's pretty apparent that it needs some lubrication at some point of the system. It's hard to tell if the noise is originating from under the dash or at other points in the linkage. My guess is it will be where the throw out bearing slides on the trans input shaft. You will need to get the car on a lift to gain any access to that area. I suggest using a mechanic because it may be a little tricky to get lube onto the shaft without getting any on the clutch disc. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Okay, thank you, that doesn’t sounds like it’s too major an issue so hopefully that’s all it is. Thank you so much for your help 🙏🏻

I'm not sure if that system is hydraulic or operates with a cable. If it's a cable it could need a new one.

Thank you, I will bring it to my garage to check it out as soon as possible but wanted to make sure it is safe to drive for now as I hadn’t heard the noise before.
