CREAKING N/SIDE FRONT END. Sign In

HI. BOUGHT A 1992 MK 5 ESCORT CABRIOLET 1.6 l; 2 CAREFUL OWNERS SINCE NEW & ONLY 22000 MILES ON CLOCK. (FSH). IN COUPLE OF MONTHS THAT I'VE HAD IT, DEVELOPED GROANING CREAK UNDER PASSENGER SIDE, TOWARDS FRONT. STARTED FIRSTLY WHEN TURNING STEERING WHEEL; NOW WHILST DRIVING ALONG. CAN'T SEE ANYTHING BROKEN, BUT UNSURE WHAT IM LOOKING FOR. ANY HELP APPRECIATED.
ALSO... CAN LOCK CAR FROM DRIVERS DOOR, BUT NOT UNLOCK???
ELECTRIC FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW STOPS, LEAVING A 2'' GAP AT TOP. PUSHING BUTTON TO CLOSE MORE, CAUSES WINDOW TO CLATTER, AS THOUGH CATCHING ON SOMETHING. THANKS X

http://www.autozone.com/...eId=0900c1528008e04f here is some illustrations of what you problem part might be and its location.......lower control arm bushings / strut or swaybar bushings, I think one of these could be the noise maker, look for signs of the bushings splitting or cracking, the bushings are made out of rubber.
