Car Making Clicking Sound Sign In

Hi, I have a 2003 Mercury Sable with almost 85,000 miles on it. I just got it and my daughter was driving it tonight and didn't realize the bumper was as low as it is, and she pulled into a Subway, and she said something scraped on the bottom of the bumper. She said the car now makes a bad clicking sound. Now I wasn't there to know for sure, but I'm wondering if maybe she just knocked something loose? Or is it possible she actually broke something?

butterflykisses; I hate that song. Wink Look underneath the front of the car. There is probably a plastic/rubber air dam that directs air flow into the engine compartment for cooling purposes. These are damaged very easily. Usually just bolted or 'snapped' into holes in the frame. If 'torn', you should be able to have it reattached while on a lift.

Re: Car Making Clicking Sound Sign In

Thanks. I thought maybe it was something like that. The car is actually 20 miles away, as my daughter has it parked at her school minister's (she goes to private school) house. So I will have to drive out there in the morning to check it out. If that's not it, I will just take it to a repair shop there and have them check it out I guess.
