Civic making front end noise Sign In

I have a 2005 Honda Civic 4 cyl that is making a BRRRRRRRR noise from the left front of the car near the wheel. It is a constant noise when the car is rolling. The faster I go the louder it gets. I thought maybe tranny but when I take it out of gear it still makes the noise. I just replaced the CV axle( not just the joint) and that did not solve the problem. I don't want to keep throwing parts at it. I am thinking wheel bearing? any insight would be helpful, thanks.

Probably a wheel bearing or hanger bearing.. get it to a shop and get it on hoist so they can spin it up and check it with the a stethoscope. I belive it's a press in bearing too so you wont be able to change it without a press anyways.

Thanks for the quick reply. There are a couple of things that were steering me off the bearing though. There is no change in the sound when I turn and there is no play in the wheel when I have it jacked up. Does this narrow it down any? Hopefully if it is a bearing I can get it early. Thanks again.

Bearing may be noisy and have no play.. Could also be tire noise if the tires are cupped enough.. also the noise on support bearing for half shaft wont change side to side either..
