Hello, my truck started knocking recently and i sure could use some advise.
It's a 2007 Chevy 1500 4x4 5.3. I just recently had the oil changed and before I did it had a slight knock only when it was cranked after being set up for a day. It seemed like the knocking stopped after the engine got warm. Now it's knocking horribly. I was driving down the highway and came to a stop at a light. When I accelerated I could hear the knocking get faster. I drove about 30 miles to my destination and know it's knocking while it idles and while accelerating etc. I checked the oil and the oil level is good and looks clean. I am about 200 miles from home and need some advise on what to do. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Maybe swing into a repair shop and have them take a listen. If there is something internal in the engine getting ready to fly, you may need to have it towed home or to your mechanic.
