Hyundai Accent rattling

Year: 2001 Make: Hyundai Model: Accent Engine: 1.6L; Automatic transmission Mileage: Under 40k When I was driving to work today, I noticed a rattling sound coming from the front of the car after I left the residential area. It wasn't consistent- it didn't go "tik-tik-tik-tik", but like "tiktik...tik...tiktiktik...tik..tiktiktiktik." It sounded kinda like a marble being rattled around a metal tray, if that helps. It only showed up when I was going over 30mph (hence, not hearing it in the residential area), but it didn't "speed up" itself as I accelerated (like, getting on the highway). Anyone got any ideas what it could be?

?? A noise is tricky by nature on the web but the noises that aren't sensitive to speed or rpm (you didn't say about that) might be a heat shield on exhaust system. It's not uncommon for those to loosen a tack weld (rust) and make quite a racket. When cooler/cold you may find which is this at all by tapping on exhaust parts - even give the tailpipe a tap with a rubber hammer or something and they might just show up which one. Assorted ways to fix that safely if that's what you find, T
