Can anyone guess what is this strange sound? Sounds like a clock, 'tick-tock'. Goes so slowly. I known that the timing chain sounds different. But what is that? I take off the altenator belt and the sound is unchanged... Please help! Also I'm not "great" with diesels but that sounds more like a very or overly busy valvetrain if that's warmed up? See if another can take a guess my excuse for not dealing with diesels is they hate cold the few I know of are tractors still can gel fuel (family owned newer than this) quits at -20F (not all winters) around where I am but some - NE US above 42nd parallel, T
