Truck sounds like a tank

So about a year ago, I took a long road trip and about an hour into the drive my truck started making this noise where I'd get about to about 100 kph and it this really loud buzzing grinding sound would engage. The only way to describe it is if you put your lips together and force a bvvv sound through them until it sounds really bad and ugly. So it did this all the way to my destination, but I didn't have the time or money to get it checked, and eventually I had to drive back with this problem. Throughout this time, the noise would sometimes get really soft or cut out entirely, then seconds later would kick in again REALLY loudly. About an hour out from being back home, it was to the point where it would be going bvvvvvVVVVVvvvvvVVVVVVvvvvvvvvvvvvVVVVVV type of thing (the capital V's are where it would almost be shaking the cab of the truck). Then suddenly it got really bad, like the worst it sounded for a couple seconds, and then cut out entirely. Smash cut to 7 silent months later, the noise kicks back in again. It never got as bad as it did the first time, but since then it has slowly dropped the speed at which it would kick in. Before it was consistently around 80 kph, then after a month or two down to 60, to 40, and has been sitting around the engage at 30-40 mark ever since. It seems to be coming from the right front wheel, and if I roll that window down, I can hear a metallic clacking sound, almost like tank treads, which is how someone described it when I pulled up. I'm working on getting some footage but the device I tried to take it on has poor audio quality so it's hard to hear. Here is the video I made:https://vimeo.com/264894033 Apologies for hard to hear. The noise sometimes is more consistent in that the sounds it makes when it kicks in won't get quieter right away but will stay that loud. Any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Check the wheel wells and plastic shields under the truck for one that is loose and flapping in the wind. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
