I have a 2013 camry that I bought last year in summer. My car has many issues but my main one is the need to warm it up. I noticed the problem last winter and now it is starting to comeback.I do wam it up for like 10 -15 minutes, otherwise, it will drive slowly or even not move at all. I make sure to change engine oil on time. Does anyone have an idea for it could be the reason?

*More about my car in case it has anything to do with warm up issue. When I drive it makes noises as if the tires are worn out but it is very clear to me that the noise comes from under the hood or even beneath the car. I changed all tires with new ones and with alignment but that didn't help to remove the noise. It mostly happens when I start speeding up and sounds as if metal parts are rusty. Last year the car was flooded with water from the sunroof and carpet was wet.

Please help

I have no idea what that statement even means. You need a lot better description of your issue and what exactly the car is or isn't doing.

You have noises in the engine that you haven't done anything about. What are you expecting from us?

Re: Warm up issue camry 2013 Sign In

For many years vehicles are NOT meant to be warmed up UNLESS impossible to clear windows from dew, frost or ice.

I wouldn't instantly drive hard while cold. It would warm up lots faster by a clock up to 15 minutes is a long time wasting fuel it would warm up faster if you drove it right away.

Noises: Always tricky but need to know if with speed of car or speed of engine.

Hub caps, if applicable but probably something to do with brakes. That's a routine to fully check them.

? Some tires are just noisy keep tire pressure up to max listed on door jams usually when cold.

If uneven wear it could be WAY out of alignment when did you have that done last or ever?

Rotate and cross rotate keep track of that which was last. F>R same side or RF>LR + LF especially will prevent "saw-toothing" makes noise worse first X rotation then better.

Changing oil? I suggest MORE than any listed miles also consider time 3,000 miles or is slow to do that many at 3-4 months - my personal suggestion not all agree.

For oil suggest synthetics the engine you save with the stuff is worth a few extra bucks. Keep the suggest viscosity owner's manual suggests.

If enough trouble figuring out noise have someone drive you listen, braking or not, left or right turns make it worse on a road good enough it's not a reason.

That's it. Great cars, take full care of them you win in the long run,

Tom
