engine make humming sound when Clutch is released

hi.... i have an acura 1.6 el... its got STANDARD transmission... when the engine is idle i realised that the engine has a humming sound... but this sound DISAPPEARS when i PRESS the clutch... i recently bought it n the seller told me that the car has a new clutch plate

If the noise goes away when you step on the clutch, that would indicate a problem with the transmission bearing for the input shaft. I would suspect that you also hear it when accelerating from a dead stop.
