Hey Sebastien: They make an adaptor (interface) such that you don't need to mess with wiring existing in the car. I'm not a sound system nut but do collect old cars (older than this) and don't want a maze of cut wires and hacked splicing. Lucky that locally I have a shop that does nothing but this stuff and two of old sound systems have quit and couldn't be repaired or bought new originals and I would have paid the insane price but not possible. My only beef with the aftermarket stuff is the controls are not as user friendly as originals such that you need to look at what you are doing vs the originals but sound fine. Suggestion is not to mess with the car's original wiring, T

Unless you would definitely prefer to replace your old radio, I would suggest you check all of your fuses first. Most radios these days require two power sources. The blinking light suggests that your constant power source is probably fine, but that you may not have power going to the switched wire.
