I have a problem w/ my neon its got a 132 hp 2.0 SOHC L4 engine. it runs hot ( almost at 1/2 on the heat gauge) I have checked the coolant and there is enough in there, it's not leaking or dripping any fluid. It did stall out the other day. I was waiting in line at a fast food place when it simply stalled out. I started it and it ran fine the rest of the way home. when it stalled I got the service engine soon light but when I checked the fluids ( oil , ect. ) they seemed fine and topped off. any suggestions ?

Does the car actually run hot? From what you describe, the gauge is at 1/2 way...that doesn't sound like its running hot....I cannot visualize your gauge but is it even close to the red?..1/2 way doesn't sound like it ...does it show any temperature #'s on the gauge? When does it "run hot"...while driving , at idle, ...reason I ask,if at idle only, maybe the cooling fan isn't coming on... Stop by Autozone and have the computer codes read..they do it for free. Post the code/codes back and one of us hopefully can assist you. Hey guest, I moved this thread to the proper forum....
