GM radio trouble playing recorded cd's

I Just bought a 2003 Chevy truck that has the GM/Bose system in it. It won't play recorded cd's, it just spits them back out. I've talked to some other guys and they say that different make cd-r's work better.
Any idea of a good brand cd-r that will work?

I've had good luck with Sony and Maxell.
