JL audio amp repair Sign In

hi
i have a JL audio 500/1 series amplifier in my Jetta, a few days ago i found basically condensation on the top and bottom of my amp, so i guess i have a water leack, and i tried turning my sub woofers on and nothing came on, so i took it to apopka audio and had it bench tested, the guy there said that it was not sending out any out put, but its receiving power, i really am not sure of what to do, i don't know how to fix it.
any help would be great.....
i have no warranty so i cant send it to JL...
thanks for your help

Condensation doesn't mean water leak necessarily. If you are in a cold area, and your amp is running, it will form condensation. Outside COLD VS inside HOT. My advice to you is to replace it. AMP's are so difficult to identify what component is burnt out, unless you take it to a specialist. Either way the only DIY you can do is get a new one. Sorry mate.
