I have a 2002 Land Rover Freelander. Stock stereo has issues. It sounds real quiet and tin like, no bass, even with volume turned all the way up, it is real quiet and poor sounding. Not sure what the issue is, is it possible that a ground is loose. It affects all speakers the same. Looking for some help.

Alot of these type of car stereos are equiped with DNR(Dobly Noise Reduction) circuitry And also a set up that causes the stereo to become louder when you speed up and quieter when you slow down. The best solution to this problem is replace the factory stereo with an aftermarket headunit if you plan on keeping the car for a while.
