VOLUME STUCK ON LOUD

Please help!! The volume on my aftermarket SuperSonic SC-1968UM is stuck on loud. I bought it at Fry's and they cannot help because it has been a whole 7 months since i purchased it. I cannot even use the radio like it is now. If anyone has any ideas let me know. Thank u Debbie

am I the only one that finds it ironic that a radio named SuperSonic is stuck on full blast lol.. I would say that it's possibility volume button is stuck. try spraying little electrical contact cleaner behind the switch. other then that I there is not much you, yourself can do.

Lol I suppose ur right, hadn't thought about it like that. The knob turns, just does nothing when it does. But, thanks for ALL the help..LOL

A volume control is a potentiometer, and all have at least three wires positive, negative, and the resistance wire. I bet one of them (probably the resistance wire) is broke or the control it's self is bad. -------------------------------------------------------- Your only as good as your tools!

Unless it is a refurbished unit it should have a one year warranty, if not I would just get rid of it and purchase something that did. Personally if it has less than a one year warranty, I think you got taken advantage of.
