2004 Pontiac Grand Am Se 3.8L 135,00 Miles The hazard light switch on the dashboard continually clicks when ever the car is turned on. I haved checked all the lights on the car. I have replaced the switch but nothing seems to help. The turn signals and the hazard lights all work. I have also checked all the ground wires for each light and nothing is loose.

Is the switch making noise? Is the relay making the noise? Do the lights flash with the clicking noise? If you pull the relay for emg flasher or blinker does it stop? If so, which one? Give as many details of the problem as you can so that you can get to a solution quicker

The switch is making the noise. When you turn the hazard lights or the turn signals on the clicking synchronizes with the lights. When you shut them off the clicking continues but the shut off.

Yes the lights flash with the clicking noise when I turn the hazard lights on. They also flash when i turn the turn signals on. When the lights are off the clicking continues. I pulled the fuse for the hazard lights and the clicking stops but none of the lights work. I can not find a relay for the hazard lights. I do not have a manual. I looked at the breaker panel inside the car and nothing is listed for the hazard or blinker relays. I looked at the breaker panel under the hood and could not find anything listed as relay for the hazards or blinkers. It sounds like a relay problem to me but I cant find the relay.

see if this link helps. link deleted ........... not allowed If nothing else, it explains where the flasher is located and seems to have good instruction on how to get to it. Looks like there are some factory issues with some models. See if you can get to the flasher relay and let us know what you find

Replace the Multi-Function Switch, common problem.
