1986 GMC light issues

Hey all, I'm currently having problems with the turn signals and interior lights on my truck. It's a 1986 GMC 3500 with the 5.7L engine. The problem right now seems to be interference between the interior lights and turn signals. When I turn on the instrument lights, the turn signal "arrow" lights turn on solid, and the turn signals and hazard lights don't respond. With instrument lights off, the signals work perfectly. All other lights seem to work as well. Any ideas? Thanks, Cornfield

Sounds like you have a ground problem somewhere. If you've had anything apart recently, go back and check for unattached ground wires. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
