1990 Nissan D21 headlamp problem. Sign In

I've had this issue for a while now where my driver's side headlamp isn't turning on. Sometimes randomly it will but it hasn't in a while. I've tried changing the bulb but no luck and the fuse is fine. The guy at the auto parts store sold me one of those testers where the bulb lights up but I don't even know how to begin. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

They sold you a 12 volt test light?

Usually if it is a random electrical problem, it will probably be a bad connection somewhere. Do you know how to use the 12 volt test lamp? Those are very handy tools for what your up against.

This should be a standard sealed beam. Plug with 3 female openings for 3 male prongs. Twist a known headlights spades if not tight or some pinch the receiving spades inside plug.

Other: Just get a new plug and solder it in but mark which wire is which position without fail as some come with only black wires,
