1992 Jeep Wrangler Sign In

I am removing the hard top from my 1992 Jeep Wrangler. Inside the left rear corner is a wiring harness plugged directly into the hard top. What is it for and what do I do with it when I unplug it since the soft top has no place to plug it into?
Thanks!

Guess: Is this to a third (middle) brake light that is on the hard top and I think they put a thing on the spare tire when a soft top is used??

Thanks for responding but there is no 3rd brake light on the hard top. I unplugged it and all the lights (headlights, brake lights, signals etc) seem to work, but I'm assuming that harness must serve some purpose, right?

Is the vehicle equipped with a rear defogger on the back glass?

Just a thought
