1998 Honda Civic Dash Light Sign In

Hello! The background light on my 1998 Honda Civic dash is not working. The turn signal lights and radio work fine. Just the back light does not work. Do I need to replace a fuse? If so where is the fuse box located? My car does not have an owners manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am female and KNOW NOTHING about cars except how to drive them! Ha Ha. Thanks, Danielle Wink

Re: 1998 Honda Civic Dash Light Sign In

Possibly a fuse problem.

Or could be the dimmer control .Not sure on this model ,but i'm sure it has a switch that can be dialed to dim the lights or brighten the lights.
Possibly the switch is faulty or even dialed down.
Another possibility is the bulbs went out.I'm sure not all at once, but may have gone out one at a time until it finally went dark.
Still another possibility is a fault in the instrument cluster itself.

Click here for fuse box location
