1999 Infiniti G20 Alternator Issues Sign In

1999 Infiniti G20, 4 cyl, 185,000 miles... I bought this car from a private party and I am now thinking I know whay he got rid of it. I have had the car for about 10 months. Since September I have put 3 remanufactured alternators in it and it just died on me AGAIN yesterday. It is the alternator AGAIN. Could this really be due to bad remanufactured alternators? Is it worth it to me to spend 400 to 500 on and actual Infiniti alternator when this car has so many miles on it? Please help!!

On this one, all the body and engine grounds need to be checked to make sure then aren't missing/loose/corroded.

Power will finds its way home.....one way or another if there is a path. If a ground is missing the path could be through a part or system that was intended to be a ground source.

Missing grounds can take out almost any part, from motor mounts to bearings. You would be surprised at the problems they can cause.....

Thanks Sidom! I have a dear friend who is a mechanic and I will ask him to do that for me. I am just so fed up with being on the side of the road with a dead car. However I definitely love not having a car payment! Thanks Again!
