1999 Mk4 (newer body style)
VW
Jetta GLS VR6
2.8 Liter V-6
136,xxx

My Jetta will not start. I recently hit a deer causing front hood and fender damage and a complete loss of a headlight. I have been driving it for a few weeks since then and it ran fine until a few nights ago. I parked it at night with no problems. The next morning it will not start. There is no sound when I turn the key not even a crank. A jump did not work. I took the battery to Advance, had it charged and tested and it is good. Also I found a blown fuse for the inside lights. I put a new one in and it blew again. Could this be a short/have to do with my car not starting? Should I put the freshly charged battery back in the car and try it or will a short just drain the battery again.
