I am looking for the wiring schematic for a 2002 Saturn L200. I left my window down and it rained inside. Now, my cruise control has stopped working and 1/2 of my speedo light has burnt out. I am figuring there is corrosion due to the rain. I also need to know how to get to the cruise wiring (how do I take off the steering wheel?) and the light behind the speedo (how do I get the dash off). Thanks for any help!

Before you try pulling the airbag and steering wheel take a look at the base of the steering column. There should be a harmonica connector with a bunch of wires going to it. You will see wires coming out of the column going to one side and wires leaving the other side. Your cruise control switch and wiring can be checked here with a test light and a multimeter set to continuity. I do not have a wiring diagram here, but you may not need to disassemble the column. NOTE: ANY AND ALL CONNECTORS COLORED YELLOW ARE AIRBAG SYSTEM WIRING. DO NOT TRY TO TEST THESE WIRES WITH AN OHMMETER OR YOU CAN DEPLOY THE AIRBAG VIA THE SMALL VOLTAGE THE MULTIMETER PUTS OUT IN THE OHMS FUNCTION. That happened to a fellow Ford Technician a few years ago. The airbag deployed killing him in the shop. His multimeter went through the rear window of the car out into the parking lot. He was a Ford trained tech with over 15 years experience. These freaky things can happen to any one of us. Be safe. Steve
