Does the check engine light bulb check when you turn the ignition on? Do you have a volt meter and know how to do voltage drop testing? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Sounds like you have a connection problem in the cables somewhere. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

If the TCM pushed out that code that means it can't communicate with the ECM. You have two possible scenarios: (1) A communication issue with the data bus (2) A faulty or inactive ECM. This might be above your pay grade and would require an experienced drive-ability tech to check it out. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Intuition: New battery dealer or not the connections right there as it was touched at all for any reason can be a pest and mess up any other testing. Lights go out you said and can come back. To me the suggest those connections. See, battery side post female threads are lead and bolts are steel. They no like being overtightened, corroded, or all hell if one ever cross threaded. Doesn't much matter if a Cadillac or Cavalier they have to be right, snug, clean, good and not stripped, T
