2006 GMC Canyon HVAC help

2006 GMC Canyon HVAC help Sign In

2006 GMC Canyon 5cyl pickup. Blower motor quit.
I first checked fuses and relays, all were good, so I replaced the resistor, resistor electrical connector, the blower motor, the blower motor electrical connector, and the cabin air filter.
Everything worked for about a week, but last night I started my truck and fan won't blow again.
Can anyone give me some advice on this?

P.S. only codes on the scanner are catalytic converter, and that has been addressed

Easy - you did a parts tossing game and all likelihood one or more isn't good.

That or the contacts how they plug in.

Cloned parts stink see if you can see one overheated.

Blowers can be run on a workbench - removes doubt. Parts tossing just confuses the show,

Tired blower motors have a habit of overloading resisters and burning them out. If you already changed the blower motor, then look at the connectors for any overheated plastic.

Blower motor resistor and pigtails are the most common failures on these GM trucks and Toyota Tacomas. Blower motor itself, not so common. My first advise would be inspecting the splices where you connected the new harness. The should be soldered. Next step: check the pigtail and resistor contacts. You may need to tighten those. Cabin air filter? Not from the factory, unless adapted.
