I just purchased a 2015 ford fiesta SE and after driving it a few weeks I found that some wires where hanging out right next to the pedals. Could someone help me out in figuring what these are for? Thank you! Pics deleted .... way too large

Pics are way too big if you can shrink them please do as it's hard to look at them. ---------------------------- 2015 model anything and don't think this car sold to the US but doesn't matter. That's about certainly hacked wiring for something aftermarket you should know what was added. It's new. Don't touch it. Take it back under warranty and complain. That's totally hacked up work especially for a new car IMO, T

Agree up to asking for another car! Pics as said show real wide so hard to really see on my device anyway. Looking as last pic what the holy crap is that? Looks cut, rusted in California!! NO. Something is messed up. Other pics show wires added that just don't look like anything original so may have something added or now you said California added that makes it legal for CA. I just don't know but it's a mess to me. Just FYI on cars in general + wiring. You don't see wires as much as possible they are well hidden and protected. Use of those wire taps, plain electrical tape and seeing a bunch of wires all like that isn't normal. You could kick at those and they are less protected from any moisture. It would be YOUR call to ask for things that the car didn't come with as "factory" made like a remote starter, antitheft something or this new a car locater, on board Breathalyzer (sp?) such that it wouldn't start or other. In short if California required something and they have for ages not required in other states a car maker would either not sell the type of car there or retrofit it to comply. Either way that's not good work! That last pic still bugs me. What happened? Did this car suffer damage not disclosed to you and somehow fixed? IDK. Dealer may not know? This new they need to see it with a full explanation of what and why up to taking that car back IMO as said. I wouldn't let this go - get real answers from dealer or move up the ladder to FORD customer service for this with the car's VIN# ready. Should be seen thru windshield and match driver's door jam and other places all thru a car - matching # or something is wrong. ----------- BTW - typing only to left side of my view with the large pics there makes script legible. Pics are necessary but need to be smaller if possible. I can't or don't know how at the risk of losing them? Good luck, T
