Wierd problem. everytime I start the truck my Oil Pressure gauge spikes, followed by my enigne temp gauge, but both are fine. Last time i hooked up my trailer lights I grounded out thru the bumper. I checked my main grounds under the hood, any other ideas?

Turn key on engine off. Observe guages. If they are spiked go under the hood and unplug the sending units. Now, if the guages are all the way down in the low position, replace the sending units. If the guages are still spiked when you unplug the oil pressure sending unit and the coolant temp. sending unit, check for a short to ground between dash and the senders. Steve
