I have completely taken apart my dash and console trying to find the door lock relay. Im getting ready to rip out the trunk right now! Please, does anyone know where the door lock relay is located on my 92 saturn sl1? I already have the new one. The old one is draining my battery, and I hate it when my battery gets drained! Thanks

According to my component locator, it’s in the fuse/relay block. The fuse/relay block is behind the center of the dash in front of the console. Dan. Canadian "EH"

Thank you so much for your quick reply. The relay that you circled says "windows". Is that also the door lock relay? The new relay that I purchased looks different than the relays that are pictured. Are we talking about the same relay, or did autozone sell me the wrong relay? The relay that I rec. is longer, thinner, and has 6 leads.

Oh crap your right; I must have had windows on the brain and no I don’t think they are the same relay; sorry? I’ll have another look when I get back to work. Mean while have a look under the drivers seat that’s where they hid them on the earlier models? Dan. Canadian "EH"

Between me screwing up with the relays (brain fart) in the diagram and the typical contradicting information on Saturn’s I hope I haven’t got you even more lost. In the component locator text, it says that in early 91; it’s under the seat(s) (as in plural) and the next paragraph it says the drivers seat. Late 91 to 92 it says “In passenger compartment fuse/relay box” When I look at a wiring diagram it kind of says the same but from late 91 to 93 and it only shows one relay which makes more sense then one for each front door? Then when I look at the diagram that I posted of the fuse/relay block it doesn’t show the lock relay? Unless it’s attached to or behind and is not shown in the actual diagram of the block? Well I think you are on your own on this one bud; here’s the wiring diagram that I have and hopefully you’ll be able to match up the wiring colors to find the relay. What was one of their sales pitches A different kind of company LOL Dan. Canadian "EH"

Thanks Dan for the help. We really appreciate your time. I will try to trace wire colors to find it, We only had the car a month, it was given to us, and Im ready to give it back! That car has the door locks fuse tied in with the fuel pump!?! After what I have seen after taking it apart to find the relay, it appears the design engineers at Saturn must be on crack! I cant believe they were smart enough to even spell "strategic-marketing." Thanks again. Bill I finally found that stupid door lock relay on that stupid 92saturn! It is under the carpeting, under the drivers seat, near the hump. Thanks for your help, maybe in the future you could use this to help someone else. Bill Hensley
