I was putting a cd player in my 93 lumina, when two wires touched, which blew a 15 amp fuse in my box. the fuse was for my electrical stuff i think, it said elec. , so i replaced it. The thing is now my car will only run when my door is open, if i close my door my engine dies. the car also won't start if the door is closed to begin with. can anybody tell me what could be the problem or what i should check?

All I can say is undo everything you did installing the CD player putting it all back to original. Being extra careful making sure that all under dash grounds are back in place. Why I’m thinking grounds is because with the door open, the door switch that turns the interior light on is a grounding switch. You may have inadvertently removed a main path to ground that the ECM (computer) needs to operate and somehow is finding ground through the door switch? So look for any wires that should be or was bolted to a metal object; those two wires that touched and blew the fuse, maybe one of them is the missing ground wire? Dan. Canadian "EH"
