95 Jeep Grand Cheroke Larado...4.0 Liter 6cyl....150000+ miles... The speedometer has been acting up for a good while now. It used to work once in a while. When it first started messing up, it would either work or not work and appeared accurate when it did work. Now it rarely works at all right. Sometimes it reads zero, sometimes all the way around, sometimes just anything. I changed the sensor on the tranny with one from another Jeep but that didn't seem to do anything different. Somebody from a garage told me to take the instrument cluster out and twist some wires about and eighth of a turn and that would probably fix it. I don't know how to take the instrument cluster out, if that might be the problem. Can anybody give me some idea what might be the problem and if it is the case of the wires in the instrument cluster, how do I get that out? Larry

I'm not sure what wires they are referring to but those did have a lot of problems with their clusters.... If the speed sensor and wiring is good, more than likely you are looking at a bad cluster............
