a quick home test to see if its your alternater start your car when it is running take the live lead the + off the battery make sure not to hit any thing with the lead if the car stops with the lead off then it is 99.9% that your alternater has hade it{ p.s this trick will only work on petrol cars }

Since it is a 95, that trick can also destroy the computer. Get a test light, remove either battery cable then install test light between battery terminal and the cable end. The light should not be lit. Or it will light up and dim down then go out. If the light stays lit, start pulling fuses one at a time until you find the circuit that is causing the light to stay on. This is the problem area. Just be sure the hood light is removed first and no doors are opened. It may take 2 people to do the inside fuse box. One inside the car on their head removing fuses while one is outside watching to see if the light goes out. Good luck.
