97 Eurovan intermittent turn signal problem

I recently purchased a 1997 VW Eurovan Camper with turn signals that work only intermittently. What is really strange is that they seem to work when the outside air temperature is about 50 degrees or above, but when it is cooler outside, they may click once or twice but then stop clicking. The emergency flasher works fine. Any Ideas? I hate to admit it, but I don't know where the flasher(s) is(are) because I can't find a repair manual except for the $100. one from Bently, which I can't afford at the moment.

It probably says in the plain owner's manual where they are. If all bulbs and filiments are working the flasher is the likely reason for this IMO, T

The owners' manual doesn't mention the flashers, however I see 4 cube-like things above the fuses, some of which could be the flashers. If anyone has the shop manual, please let me know if that is correct and which one is for the turn signals. Thanks.

Looks like this - #s may not match this aftermarket one. both hazard and directionals list the same one so swap them if so as a test, T
