98 chevy 4.3 wiring

Hi I have a 93 chevy 1500 truck I going to be replace the 4.3 motor with a 98 4.3 vortec what do I need to do with the wiring ? do I just replace 93 wiring with 98 wiring from the firewall on out or will all the wiring from the computer on out need to be replace?

This is the kind of thing that gives mechanics nightmares. I wouldn't touch your truck with a ten-foot pole. Your 98 engine requires a different ECM and wiring harness than your 93 truck. I shudder to think of the head-banging frustration of trying to cobble the two together. Far better to just trade up to the truck you want.
