AC/HEATER FAN SWITCH Sign In

2003 GMC ENVOY XL 4.2L 6 CYL. ENG. SLE MODEL
AC / HEATER SWITCH DOES NOT WORK ON 1ST & 2ND SPEEDS 3,4, & 5 WORK FINE.
I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO REMOVE THE PLASTIC MOLDING ON DASH PANEL SO I CAN REMOVE SWITCH.

The problem is likely not the switch. It's more common to be a bad blower resister.

Google the cost of the resistor which is likely as HT said and shouldn't be big bucks. Like a dimmer switch for home use basically. How to test it? IDK,

blower fan resistor cost about $35. Will remove old and try to have it tested? Will post findings. Thanks
