Hey there. I've just started driving my grandmother's car around every day after she drove it only occasionally for a few years. About a week after I started driving it regularly, the passenger side front window ground to a halt when I tried to roll it down from my side. (The passenger window control buttons haven't worked for a long time, so the driver is the only one who can control windows.) A few days later the back passenger side window stopped responding to the button as well. The front passenger window now slowly slides down during the day. We've taped it up so the inside of the car doesn't get wet. 1998 Buick Regal LS V6, 3.8L 108,360 miles Suggestions? My grandmother is on a fixed income. So, we're worried that this will be a costly repair if the motor needs to be replaced. I'd like to have an idea of what we're looking at before we take it to a shop. Thanks for any advice you can lend!

You could be looking at motor/regulator assemblies. They usually run a couple hundred buck a door. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
