I have a 2005 Hyundai Sonata that I got a week and a half ago from a Hyundai dealership. I went shopping for 5 to 10 minutes and I came back and the car wouldnt start and when ever I would put the key into the ignition the hazard lights would automatically begin flashing and the car wouldnt even attempt to start. Also when I left the car the battery seemed fine nothing that would suggest that I needed to get a new battery that I know of at least. What is wrong?

Based on what you describe,it sounds like the burglar alarm is set off. I just read up a little on this system and it says the hazards will flash for about 2 minutes if the alarm is set off. It is reset by using the transmitter..if you have one try it,if not contact the dealer ASAP....... The burglar alarm system is armed automatically after the doors, hood, and trunk are closed and locked. The system is set off when any of these things occur: - A door is forced open.
- A door is unlocked without using the transmitter.
- The trunk lid is opened without using the key or the transmitter.
- The hood is opened.
- The engine starter circuit and battery circuit are bypassed by breaking the ignition switch.
When the system is set off, the alarm (siren) sounds and the hazard lamp flash for about two minutes or until the system is disarmed by unlocking the transmitter.
