ECU Negative Earth Problem

2003 Mitsubishi L200 warrior 2.5TD, New Recon engine Hi, I had a recon engine fitted a week ago by a garage, When I picked it up the engine management light was on, The garage said there was a problem with the engine ECU, There was no negative earth current from the ECu to the boost and said it would need a Replacement ECU, I took it to our local Mitsubishi Dealer and they diagnosed the same thing, But they said it would need an engine ECU and also an immobiliser ECU, I got these parts from a good 4x4 second hand parts dealer and Mitsubishi fitted them, They did 2 start up and run tests and the light stayed off and on the 3rd start and run test the engine management light came back on, If you put a wire between the ECU and the boost the light goes out and all seams fine, Please could someone tell me why there is no negative earth form the ECU, When the car was took to the garage for the recon engine to be fitted the engine management light was not on, So maybe it could be something they have disturbed, Our Mitsubishi master tech is struggling to find the fault, The car seams to run ok, Is there anyone out there that would know what the problem could be. Many Thanks Gary
