ESCL Nissan Altima 2010 Sign In

Having trouble starting car notices yellow key light on in top left corner of dash. Search for answers and cam up with the escl or fuse. Upon opening the panel where the escl was suppose to be located, there is a empty space. Also the fuse i was suppose to check under the hood was also missing. My question is do all nissans suppose to have that, and if so is there another location it may be besides the steering column. Or did this dealership sell me a death trap?Frown

Do you have push button starting?

If so, have you checked the batteries in your remote.

I'm assuming your steering wheel is locked when this won't start.

The manufacturer has a campaign on this issue. I would not touch it at all and contact them.

Then it doesn't sound like the issue is the ESCL. It needs to be diagnosed more accurately, not just guessing.

You are going to need equipment and training that you just don't have.

Don't skip the basics....

Have the car battery tested to make sure it's good & all the connections are clean.....for the heck of it, try jumping it and see if that makes a difference......(even if it doesn't....the battery still needs to be tested)
