'97 Nissan D21 pickup 4 cyl, manual 98K miles Seeking some help on narrowing down the cause of intermittent power reaching the AC compressor (switch or relay?) and also the stereo. The truck also occasionally struggles to turn over despite a new starter and fresh neg. battery and ground cables. The AC seems to get power randomly about 35% of the time and the stereo less frequently. The mechanic that replaced my starter a year ago said the alternator seemed fine and I've added a new alt belt and tensioner bolt. If there are any potential causes I can eliminate myself easily before paying someone lots of $ to track down the probable short - I'd appreciate any advice on doing so. Thanks!

These things are approached systematically by following a wiring diagram during the failure Here is the diagram ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
