Ford Ignition Switch Sign In

I have a '98 Ford F-150 pickup (4.6L). I recently replaced the ignition switch because there was no "resistance" when I turned the key into the start position. The new switch didn't correct the problem. What could be causing this problem? It also will not start. The fuse box shows only partial fuses are receiving fire in the run position. Charge light on the instrument panel is not lighting up but all others seem to be working.
Help appreciated.

the no resistance suggests a bad actuator rod sometimes called a rack....
suggest you google ' 98 f150 actuator rod' likely there is a youtube video... the step by step copy and paste would be large

I've done a few of those were the plastic actuator rod's pin inside the steering column falls out. You can tell if that happened because you can move the rod pin that moves the ignition switch back and forth without the key moving.



The actuator rod with its pin missing that is in the middle of the steering column:
