GM wont warranty fuel pump Sign In

I had my 2000 Suburbon at a Chevrolet dealership 9 mths ago. They said the fuel pump needed replacing. I talked with the service advisor about buying a pump from Adavance Auto.( the pump was $150 cheaper and had a 1 year with no mileage limitation warranty).

It is at the same dealership now, only 9 mths after being replaced and 401 miles over the 12,000 miles. The service advisor says he wont warranty it and that any further discussion was a waste of my time.

Does anyone have any suggestions. Thank You.

I would go to the service manager; if he/she still won’t help you, go to the owner of the dealership.
Stay very com but be instant that you feel as thou you’re getting the short end of the stick.
If they still will not do anything for you; I would then show them a copy of a well written, accurate letter that you will be sending to GM and too as many locale news papers that will run it.
They might not be legally responsible for this anymore but in good faith and their reputation, they should offer to do something for you.

i just changed the wording on my post. It has only been 9 mths since it was replaced. My initial posting might have sounded as if it was 9 mths out of warranty.
